What we worry about most when we travel is preventing our money from being lost or stolen. So how can you hold on to your money ?
First, try to find a good place to keep your money. The money should be kept in small notes; and those that have a higher value should be kept in the pockets of your underclothing, and at least in two different places. Yuan and Jiao notes are the most frequently used during traveling and therefore should be put separately in coat and pant pockets—in each place no more than 3 or 5 yuan. Second, try to grasp the skill of taking money out. Remember always to keep in mind the hierarchy of your money. It's better not to pull out a 5-Yuan note for a 5-Jiao purchase. It is not a bad idea to pull out small notes casually. If you pull out several small notes at once in a mess, the thief, even if he is looking on, may be reluctant to take action for that 3 or 5 yuan. When shopping or eating in a restaurant where we need to use notes of medium amounts to pay the bill, we'd better pick out the exact large notes that we need. Once the small notes are out, we should remove a large note at a secluded place, and change it into medium or small notes the next time we make a purchase. Furthermore, we should keep these large notes in several different pockets.
